Your adventure kicks off with a scenic drive from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park, taking about 4–5 hours. Once you arrive and check in at the lodge, you’ll have time to freshen up before heading out for an evening boat safari along the Rufiji River. This peaceful ride offers excellent chances to spot crocodiles, hippos, water birds, and elephants coming down to drink as the sun sets—perfect for setting the tone for the days ahead.

After breakfast, you’ll set out on a full-day game drive through the vast and varied landscapes of Nyerere. The park’s open plains, woodlands, and riverbanks make it a prime spot for spotting predators and birdlife alike. Lunch will be served picnic-style in the bush before continuing with the afternoon drive.

This second full-day game drive allows you to visit different areas of the park and increases your chances of witnessing rare species such as African wild dogs. On this third full day of wildlife viewing, you’ll cover more ground with extended game drives in lesser-explored corners of the park. As always, your guide will customize the route to maximize sightings and enhance your safari experience before you return to your lodge for a final dinner in the bush.

Your last day begins with something special—a guided walking safari at sunrise.
