Set out early for a full day with your private guide in Serengeti National Park, when the cooler morning hours often bring wildlife activity across the plains. The route can be adjusted to current animal movements and local conditions, allowing time to explore the most promising areas without rushing. Travel through open grasslands, acacia-dotted plains and riverine habitats while looking for lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and other species that inhabit the Serengeti. Your guide will interpret tracks and behaviour while searching for both large herds and the predators that follow them.

Day 03

Ngorongoro Crater & Return to Arusha

Depart early for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend the steep crater road into the vast caldera. The crater floor brings grassland, woodland, marsh and lake habitats together within a natural amphitheatre, creating excellent conditions for a focused final safari. Explore with your guide while looking for resident wildlife, which may include lion, buffalo, elephant and, with luck, the endangered black rhino. Stop for a picnic lunch during the game drive, then ascend from the crater and begin the return journey through the highlands toward Arusha. Arrive in Arusha later in the day, where your three-day Tanzania safari comes to an end.
